Coach Anna

Anna Abakumova

Anna has been a coach for the past 12 years.
During that time, she has prepared two swimmers for the Uzbekistan National Swimming Team, as well as
improving the swimming skills of many junior members of the Uzbekistan National Swimming Team. We are proud to have her
coaching the Clifton Seahawks.
Her background includes:

2008-current - Age Group Coach, Clifton Seahawks
1998-2007 - Coach at State Olympic Reserve Swimming School, Tashkent Uzbekistan: prepared two members for the Uzbekistan National Swimming Team

Coach Craig

Craig Casparino

Craig is currently a sophomore at Montclair State University, where he is majoring in History. He has been a part of the Seahawks swim team since he was in first grade. Craig, being a great all around swimmer, holds many records at the Clifton pool. He was one of the captains of the Clifton Seahawks Florida National team, as well as the Clifton High School Swim Team. Craig has worked as a lifeguard and swim instructor for the Clifton Boys and Girls club for the past five years.

Coach Chris

Chris Hyde

Level 2 USA Swimming Coach

Chris is a graduate of Seton Hall University, where he swam for their NCAA Division 1 team. He was also captain of the Clifton High School swim team, where he set several school records. About three years ago, Coach Craig Casparino broke one of Chris' old records. Besides coaching the younger kids on the swim team, Chris maintains the Seahawks website.

Coach Lesly

Lesly Mendoza

Lesly is a former Seahawk who is currently attending William Paterson University, where she is majoring in Nursing.  Lesly swam with the Seahawks for 8 consecutive years and is a record holder in various events.  She attended Paramus Catholic High School where she was a member of the swim team all four years and captain of the squad during her senior year.  Lesly continues to work as a lifeguard and swim instructor at the Clifton Boys & Girls Club where she has been employed for the last four years.

Coach Rina

Rina Witrow

Level 2 USA Swimming Coach

Rina joined the seahawks in 2001 after completing her own swimming career. Rina works primarily with the youngest Seahawks and is a strong believer in developing proper stroke technique from an early age. Many older Seahawks participate in Rina’s Lifeguarding and CPR program.
