Attention Seahawks:
Being that the weather men can't make up their minds about how much snow we will have tomorrow, we are going to wait until the morning to make a decision regarding having our dual meet or not. We will send out an email ONLY if we decide to CANCEL the meet. If you don't hear from us, assume we are having the meet. If you will not have access to email tomorrow morning, you can call Aquatics at ext 31 or 35 and, if we decide to close, we will have a recording stating the closing. Thank you for your patience.

Attention Parents and Swimmers,
You may have already heard that we are excited yet saddened to announce Vlad’s acceptance of a great opportunity as a Head Coach of an international swim team. While he is sad to leave he knows this is a once in a lifetime opportunity that he simply cannot let pass him by. We appreciate the six years he spent as our Head Coach and wish him well in all his future endeavors. He will be sorely missed.

We want to assure you that we are doing everything to make this transition as seamless as possible and are currently working hard to find a new and highly qualified Head Coach to take over our swim team. The Seahawks have always been a strong and unified team and this will not change. We are looking for you to finish your swim season as strong or even stronger than you have started. Put to use all Vlad has taught you and show everyone what our team is capable of. Work your hardest, beat your times, set high records and reach your goals! We are here to support you! While we are actively looking for a Head Coach to replace Vlad, I, Nadia will be taking over as Head Coach until one is found. Our coaching staff will be staying and life will go on as usual. Life is ever-changing and we need to adjust accordingly. We appreciate your understanding and support at this time. Feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns you may have.

We would also like to invite you to a farewell party for Vlad we will be holding in the Bingo Hall on Monday, January 25 at 6:30 pm. Bronze group will have a regular practice and all other groups will start at 5:30 and end at 7 pm. We will provide sandwiches, pizza and soda but please feel free to bring something if you would like.

The Dual Meet with Wayne originally scheduled for 11/21/09 has been canceled. It has been rescheduled for Saturday 12/19/09.

Note! Daylight Savings Time will take place 2am Sunday November 1. This means that if you don't set your clock back an hour on Saturday night, you will be an hour early to the Autumn Cup Meet (and wondering where everyone else is and why the building is not open!)! Don't forget to set your clocks back one hour Saturday(October 31st) night.

Monday October 12 in the Bingo Hall
Bathing Suit(included in swim team fees)/Sweatsuit Fitting(not included in swim team fees) in the Bingo Hall from 5-630 pm

Wednesday October 14th (for Sharks 5:30-6:30pm during practice, and Makeup Date for everyone else)
Swim Marathon + T30 Test (30 minutes of continuous swimming, counting the number of laps completed)

Thursday October 15th (for everyone else, Bronze Dolphin Gold and JO's during practice)
Swim Marathon + T30 Test (30 minutes of continuous swimming, counting the number of laps completed)

Makeup Date for Thursday October 15th is WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 14TH.

Congratulations to Jasmine Spinelli! Jasmine qualified for the Eastern Zone Long Course Championships, to be held August 12-15! She also managed to become ranked 5th in the nation in the 1500 meter freestyle for 11yr old girls while swimming at JO's this summer! Congratulations!

Congratulations to Brandon Matos and Isaac Nitro, both of whom swam very well to finish out the season at the Boys and Girls Club Nationals! Brandon Matos took home the Male 8 And Under Champion with a total of 136 points, while setting a new record in the 8 and Under 100 IM! Congratulations!!!
